Appointments can be made by phoning the surgery on 01-8471647. All our clinics operate by appointment only. We are aware that phone lines can be busy, especially at certain times of day. We ask for your patience in this regard.
Our administrative staff are skilled, experienced medical receptionists. They receive hundreds of calls every day and attempt to prioritise queries and requests for appointments for the doctors and nurses so that more urgent issues can be dealt with quickly. They may be able to help you with your query directly. The more information you are willing to share, the easier it will be for them to direct the call.
We would encourage all patients to email queries and requests for repeat prescriptions to keep the phone lines free for people wishing to book appointments.
Each consultation lasts 15 minutes. If a patient has a number of problems that need to be addressed it may be necessary to make a further appointment so that all complaints can be dealt with in a safe and thorough manner. If more than one member of a family needs to be seen, appointments should be booked accordingly.
While every effort is made to run on time, occasional delays are unavoidable and we ask for your patience and understanding in these situations.
If you are unable to attend an appointment we would appreciate notice of cancellation as soon as possible so that the appointment can be offered to another patient.
We are a group practice with five GPs. If you have a doctor of choice, every effort will be made to facilitate an appointment with them for routine appointments. It will not always be possible to see your doctor of choice for an urgent issue. Please make sure to give at least one weeks’ notice if you wish to see your doctor of choice. All of our doctors are experienced GPs who have full access to your records and will be able to deal with your medical care.

Blood tests are carried out every morning by our nurses. We require that all patients requesting blood tests also have a consultation with a doctor in advance of the test – this is important so that the correct tests are performed. The exception to this is tests that have been requested by a hospital consultant.
It can take up to two weeks for results of blood tests to be available. Once the doctor has reviewed the blood results, a doctor or nurse will give these results via text message, over the phone or in person. We can email results to you once you have discussed them with a doctor or nurse. Please wait two weeks following your blood results before contacting us via email to request your results.
Administrative staff may, on occasion, give scan or blood results over the phone, but only if they are entirely normal.

As winter approaches and with Covid 19 cases again increasing in the community, we ask that all patients with any symptoms of respiratory illness including fever, headcold, cough or breathlessness please wear a mask when visiting the surgery. This is to protect our most vulnerable patients and staff.
